PEACOCK GREEN LOOK

Well forgive me for the quality. I used drugstore makeup for this look. PURE DRUGSTORE. I mixed yellow brown with light and dark green. I was too lazy to wear mascara or lipstick. And i toppped it up with black eyeliner (Also a drugstore brand).

Would look great with MAC eh. Ummm currently im too poor. My top prority is still dance classes lol! Maybe elecrtric eel will look electrifying with this look!

CLEOPATRA CHARACTER MAKEUP

This would be an interesting entry. I will touch on character makeup. Character makeup is used for special occasions especially if you are a makover artist or a dancer. I am both, In fact, i am a bellydancer. So mastering stage makeup becomes very important. Let me post more pictures so you can see the makeup on me.

WHAT DID I DO?

MAKEUP

Most important about cleopatra makeup is the eyes. I used a certain type of makeup technique which is becoming quite a HOT TREND.

I used this technique but just a little different.

I put the black eye shadow in the corner and slowly shaded the area of the upper eyelid as shown in the above picture. And then i filled in MAC  Rule in the middle portion and woodwinked at the inner corner of the eye. You can go for gold. But the reason why i chose woodwinked becos of its shinyness and Rule is matte, the contrast is good.

THE EYE LINER

The eye liner is most crucial. What i did is not the typical arabic eye line look. I did the cats eye look as usual. Its become my personal favorite. Get Mac kohl to line the cats eye way

Remeber this?

Draw a straight line in the lower lashline. Make it extend. Then draw in the upper lashline bringing the line slowly down to meet the straightline u have drawn in the lower lashline. For eXplicit instructions refer to ma previous blog entries under eyeliner application.

Then get MAC FLUID liner to draw over. Top it up with MAC carbon eye shadow.

LAST AND FINAL TOUCH

Get your black MAC carbon eyeshadow to touch up on the crease and top area

Remeber that look. Top it up!

NOW WHAT ELSE?!?!?!

cLEOpatra makeup is fully done only with accesories. You should get a bronzer if you are white or fair. And try to go for peachy or orangey blushes if you are tanned. It gives and interesting look. Your lipstick should be preferably nude as it draws attention to your eyes.

ACCESORIES

Hair- should be straight. Get a wig or attempt to straight like ive done. But ive failed miserably.

GET GOLD JEWELLERY.

I have put a bellydancing hip scarf of my head. It works as the head gear and a golden hair band as my necklace.

You can get a brown tube top and top it up with gold jewellery to complete the look. You can even go on to put fake body jewels to give that extra oomph. :) I hope i have helped!

The color purple

Its always nice to know that you have an  audience .  I am inspired to write more after finding lovely Lucy on my page. This was a look i did some time back. I named it after the book, "THE COLOR PURPLE". Mainly because...it is all about different shades of purple.

Introducing the look!

I did not use MAC for this look. I used LANCOME. Lancome has four lovely shades of purple. And i felt i should do a look for people who dont like strong makeup. I am one of those.

MORE SHOTS

WITH EYES CLOSED

This is very simple to do.

FIRSTLY

1)After your normal concealer and eye base. I always line my eyes FIRST! Trust me, it works better.

2)This is a simple trick to enhance your eyes. Line your lower lashline with  light shde of purple. It brings out the eyes

3)After lining, Take an odinary retractable liner, not the pencil type and not MAC. Mac is expensive! Lol. So use the odinary line as a gauge. You can do CATS EYE, RA EYE (refer to prev post)

4)Take the lightest shade of purple and shade the inner corner of the eye, followed by the medium one just occupying the middle portion of your eyelid(NOT YOUR CREASE). Then take the darkest shade of purple and fill it in the crease!

5)Now get your MAC kohl liner and line it over the previous drugstore liner. And then top it up with MAC FLUDILINE. And then top it with MAC KOHL LINER AGAIN.

TIP!

To make your eyes look bigger and more sexy. USE BLACK EYESHADOW. Mac has the shade called carbon or any black eyedhadow. A drugstore brand too will do! Slightly go over the kohled area in the top lined area of your upper lsh line. Not the lower lash line...unless you want panda eyes ;)

TO COMPLETE LOOK

To be honest... i didnt wear foundation. I hate foundation. So i just used powder! Lol. Strange! It made me look more natural...Foundation gives a weird look. haha. But its better to use it as it provides you a clean canvas to work with!

What i did?

I wore lots of BLUSH. I discovered blush only lately. It gives you such a sexy healthy look! And of course, my nude ipstick with lots of blush makes you perfect. What added beauty is the nose ring. haha. I always use gold or bronze nose rings because i am brown skinned, it looks better on my skin tone!

ADVICE

Do not follow trends blindly. Follow what you think you look good in. Personally, i dont like strong makeup. But do not avoid any style. There are no rules in makeup. Keep experimenting. Makeup isnt the only thing that adds beauty. You can experiment with accesories and even jewel stickers. Some people may think fake nose rings are crazy! But it adds so much beauty to the face!

Always wndered how Shabd smoky look is done?

Well i tried it yesterday. I used Mac Carbon, Mac Club, Mac fkuidline, Mac kohk liner, Loreal Mascara and nude lipstick. Pink blush for a sexy look.

Another experiment with makeup, i used lancome eyeshadows. And a little bit of carbon eyeshadow. And arabic eye style eyeliner, smudged it with MAC liner and carbon shadow
